They say you should never meet your heroes. Though an old adage, it seems that there are a few people who missed the memo, evidenced here in this video from Twitter user @SC0RSESE showing what allegedly went down when a fan got to meet DC Cinematic Universe star Ezra Miller.

According to the user, a friend of theirs had jokingly asked Miller if they wanted to fight, to which they replied, “Did you wanna fight?” before grabbing the fan by the throat, pushing her up against a surface and then “choke-slamming” her to the side. It was at this point that the person recording the video proceeded to intervene.

As of writing, the 15-second video has been viewed approximately one million times. People present at the scene reported that several onlookers pulled the actor off their fan and restrained them. At this point, Miller allegedly spat at the fan’s brother, as well as a bartender who was present.

Other netizens cast doubts on the veracity of the film, saying that there was no way to confirm the identity of the person in the video or even if this was just a prank that went too far.

Also is you can see him use his other arm to guide her to the floor, it's literally a joke fight, it's like how I pretend to floor my cousin's, but gently, that's what he did 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Abovementioned comments in the Twitter thread have questioned whether comments reporting what went on outside the scope of the short video were factual or from detractors who wanted to tarnish Miller’s name. Some fans also responded in memes to show how they felt after seeing the video.

The “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” star and LGBTQIAP+ icon has a documented history of being abused and has spoken out in support of the #MeToo movement in the past. The actor has yet to release a statement.
