While the world patiently waits for Lady Gaga to drop “Chromatica” on May 29, Little Monsters can jam to a new Gaga track coming out this Friday, May 22. In an Instagram post, Ariana Grande joined the electro pop superstar to tease their much awaited collaboration, “Rain On Me.”

In the post, the two stars don a machine-like ensemble with Gaga wearing a spike-covered latex bodysuit and Grande sporting a latex dress with a skater skirt. Could this be a glimpse of a possible music video coming soon? We can already tell that the single is going to be another fan favorite, with Gaga revealing that it’s about “how to keep going and being grateful for what you do.”
Gaga told Paper Magazine that the track will be a “celebration of tears” and will be about allowing yourself to “submit to devastation.” She also shared that the album will be an invitation to a new realm where more people are invited. “It’s saying there are more colors and more kinds than we could possibly fathom. We’re all so different and that’s the perspective,” said Gaga.
Gaga has been giving her fans a taste of the new “Chromatica” era by releasing the single “Stupid Love” and the official album art and tracklist. Fans have since speculated whether Gaga will be going for an experimental electropop direction like “ARTPOP” or for a more folk-infused sound like “Joanne.” Based on “Stupid Love,” it seems that Chromatica will be new territory for Gaga.
