What’s Dimples Romana’s next role after “Kadenang Ginto”? A juror for an international award-giving body for television, apparently.

Romana recently hopped on Instagram to announce the news. “I was invited by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to be a juror for the iEMMYs. The International Emmy Award is given to recognize the best television programs initially produced and aired outside the United States,” she wrote, adding, “Pilipinas and Kapamilya represent.”
Presented by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the iEmmys is separate—but just as legitimate—from the Primetime Emmys, which is what you’re probably more familiar with. In general, the Emmys is known as the TV equivalent of the Oscars.
The judging of the iEmmys that Romana was part of was hosted by Active TV Asia (its president, Michael McKay, is shown in Romana’s screenshot of their video conference). According to Inquirer.net, “The awards program later shared Romana’s post on its Instagram Stories, stating that she was part of a semi-final round of judging.” This meant that the judging was to determine the nominees for the 2020 iEmmys.
According to its website, the iEmmy Awards nominees will be announced in September, while its gala night (where the winners will be announced) will be on Nov. 23. It also noted that the semi-final round of judging started on Jul. 1 and will end on Sept. 15.
