What do you get when you combine a contemporary street style clothing brand and a minimalist lifestyle store? It’s a collaboration that’s way too cool to be true! Proudrace and Bleach blur the lines between pambahay (house clothes) and streetwear to create something more presentable than the ratty tees you sport in bed. Expect the familiar silhouettes of your dusters, oversized tees, teddys, lounge sets, and robes to be fully made over into something you can finally wear on that grocery run—or party in Future. “We got this idea because Bleach reinvented itself into a home store we wanted to incorporate that feel into this collection,” Proudrace’s Rik Rasos says.
The collection borrows the signature ease and comfort of Bleach pieces and combines it with Proudrace’s ironic interpretation on postcard photos. “[It’s like] going on a trip and missing someone, hoping they are with you,” Rik says of the collection’s new prints, which feature tees with the words “Wish you were near” emblazoned on them.
The charm of the collection isn’t just in the sense of comfort it brings, but also in its all-encompassing range of products. Apart from the clothes, there are also pieces for your home and kitchen: throw pillows, aprons, mittens, and placemats—items that are distinctly Bleach, but with added punch.
The collaboration’s look book also features highly stylized photos shot by famed young photographer BJ Pascual. “[It’s] really cool because he was the first photographer who shot our first look book. This is our reunion project,” Rik says.
So on days you when don’t feel like doing anything but lay down on your bed (We agree, Bruno Mars!), the Bleach x Proudrace pieces have got you covered.
