Neon Island
Chi Gibbs, co-owner of Neon Island, recommends their Millicent Slip (P1,799). The floral-printed short dress is the “perfect holiday outfit” for those wanting to spice up the clean silhouette of a slip. “It’s a simple slip dress [but it] is super versatile,” Chi says. She suggests two ways of styling the piece: “You can dress it down with sandals or glam it up with heels and a clutch.” What makes it an easy go-to choice for Chi is “its flattering silhouette with a hint of sexy.” Just what we need, yes?

Beetroot
Beetroot is all about being sexy, or from the very words of owner Kae Chida, “effortless confidence.” Come Christmastime, she recommends Beetroot’s Never Share a Bath Top and Bottom Set (P1,490). For her, what works is “a cropped V-neck top and culottes combo that’s just perfect for this busy season [especially] when you don’t want to think of what to wear.” Styling-wise, Kae suggests wearing the pieces as they are when you’re out, say while doing some holiday shopping or prepping for holiday parties to “to look ultra chic.”

Shop Carisse
Carmen Araneta, owner of Shop Carisse, is all for laidback dressing for the holidays. She lets you in on why the Dree dress (P1,350) is the right piece to balance out your look. “It’s super easy to pair with anything like a sequined jacket and heels. You can also dress it down and wear in any occasion,” she points out. But the dress also serves a particular purpose we might find handy: “[The dress] is comfy enough to not feel bloated after a big meal.”

Undo Clothing
One can’t deny the sheer simplicity of an Undo Clothing piece. It’s clean and stylish with its minimalist takes on easy dressing. Owner Kyla Zuñiga suggests their Zoe Bralette (P1,200) paired with the Natalie Skirt (P1,580) this season. “This ensemble is perfect for Christmas evening parties as it is festive yet simple,” she says. If you’re going for an understated look but definitely not low on impact, the combination just works. “I’m pretty sure you’d want to stand out but wouldn’t have to go for sequins and all those flashy materials,” she adds. You can afford to be a little experimental with matching colors as both pieces also come in black, nude, and marsala.

Sune
If you want something that can last you throughout the Christmas day frenzy, Debbie Lupango, co-owner of Sune, proposes their Taupe Draped Tunic (P2,100). “This piece is made of ultra-light and soft Georgette [fabric] that features a deep-neckline,” Debbie explains. “It’s the perfect holiday dress for its fluid silhouette with front drape detail that falls across the body and shows just the right amount of skin.” This wear-anywhere dress is “simple, easy, and luxurious.” And if function is what you’re after, Debbie claims that the taupe dress also works as “a great [beach] cover-up,” too!
