Director Larry Clark, known for his films Kids and The Smell of Us, made a short film for luxury brand Dior. And if you’re a fan of his work, you’ll notice that it’s reminiscent of his films.
Titled Paris Session, it features four Parisian teen boys who switched from their skater garb to dapper rental tuxes from Dior Homme. There were also sneakers and slide-ons included in the film.
This is probably another move to make the brand more appealing to millennials. A few months ago, Dior Homme also named Larry as one of their new endorsers for AW16 along with rapper A$AP Rocky.
Not only was Larry chosen to create a short film, Dior artistic director Kris Van Assche revealed that he’s also one of his inspirations for his collections. “Larry Clark is a major reference point and it is therefore only normal that I had pictures of him and his work all over my mood boards,” Kris tells The New York Times.
This isn’t Larry’s first venture with high fashion. He worked with designer J.W. Anderson last year to help create the zine The Smell of Us.
