Busy streets, a thriving business district, and a lot of people on the go. These are just some of the things to describe Makati City and we are no stranger to them.
As Christmas is coming up, you might be wondering where people can go in this bustling city to celebrate it. Fortunately, we have a few places in mind that’ll cover at most 12 hours of your time. You can even jump from one place to another to make the most of it.
#1 A staycation
We all need to unwind sometimes. Holiday Inn & Suites Makati currently has a promo where if you stay on a weekend (Friday to Sunday) on Best Available Rate you get a complimentary room in their branch in Bangkok and Singapore. So if you’re planning for that overseas trip before the year ends, you know where to go. But hurry as the promo is only until the 31st.
Holiday Inn & Suites Makati, Glorietta Mall, Palm Drive, Ayala Center, Makati City. For reservations, visit their website or call (02) 909-0888.
#2 Take your family to lunch
Skip the mall restaurants and take your family to Spectrum at Fairmont Makati. There’s a 3+1 promo for the lunch (P2,150) and dinner (P2,380) buffets. But if you’re not up for that, there’s also an ala carte menu. The grilled angus beef ribeye (P1,790) and apple pie (P395) sound tempting.

#5 Playing with lights
After taking lots of photos at Miracle Art, you can also check out Circuit’s 56-foot Christmas tree. You can even go inside and take selfies with the lights illuminating your surroundings.
And of course, who could forget the famous Ayala Triangle Gardens’ Festival of Lights? If you haven’t seen it this year, their theme is fiesta which has songs with fast intervals with equally quick light transitions.
