But thank the heavens for sportswear brands like Nike for their range of clothing made available in plus sizes. This season they will be expanding their running, training, and sportswear lines with more sizes to fit every woman—totaling to the release of about 85 pieces this holiday which will continue to grow in the coming seasons.
As they grow their range of sizes, they also make sure its performance is up to par. The pieces go through a rigorous product test that focuses on six core movements like lunging, squatting, bending, and the likes. Now there’s more reason for you to look and perform your best while you workout!
In line with their size expansion, they also released a statement to Refinery29 that guaranteed to boost the spirits, “Nike recognizes that women are stronger, bolder, and more outspoken than ever. In today’s world, sport is no longer something that she does, it’s who she is. The days where we have to add ‘female’ before ‘athlete’ are over. She is an athlete, period. And having helped fuel this cultural shift, we celebrate these athletes’ diversity, from ethnicity to body shape.”
