White is usually the last color I think of when packing. Between my clutzy self and the unexpected events that happen on trips, white can be a hassle to wear. Just thinking about all the possible stains (red wine, is one) already makes me panic.
But it can also be practical especially in tropical destinations. It’s cool even if you spend hours in the sun. It’s also chic and classic if you don’t want to err on the side of being trendy.
If you need proof, look at Nadine Lustre’s recent trip to Dubai. She sported an all-white ensemble during her boat ride and we are loving it.
If you need to cop the look, here are options that we found.
Zara Flowing Trousers
The wide-leg pants are what sold this look to me. It provides protection from the sun but keeps you cool. They aren’t tight as well so you’re free to move. Available at TriNoma.
H&M Crinkled Off-Shoulder Top
An off-shoulder top is always a summer staple. Since you are working with just white, add interest to your outfit by playing with textures through the crinkled details of this top. Available at SM Makati.
Miss Selfridge Silver Cut-Out Choker
Nadine sticks to silver accessories for this one. When your outfit is simple, you can go for a statement necklace to break the look. Available at Greenbelt 5.
Ray-Ban Round Lenses
Of course, what’s a trip out in the sun without any lenses to protect your face and to make sure you can see properly. These sunglasses, a timeless favorite, still give off that cool vibe and aren’t difficult to pull off with other ensembles too. Available at Eye Society, SM Mega Fashion Hall.
