Skate brand Vans has had many collaborations over the years. They’ve released pieces with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. Their latest collaboration? Marc Jacobs
This will be the second time for Vans and Marc Jacobs to collaborate on a project. Their first shoe release was in 2005. This one features illustrations by artist Julie Verhoeven on the white canvas. Each pair comes with a set of fabric markers so you can personalize them yourself. Unfortunately they will only be available in-store on June 16, limited to 125 pairs. If you’re desperate to get your hands on them, you can enter the Marc Jacobs Giveaway where you win can one of the 10 pairs.
For this collection, Marc Jacobs asked creative individuals to design the slip-ons based on their own respective styles.
Model Jazelle Zanaughtti was one of these creatives and her sneakers feature a 100 percent hand-stitched design
Manicurist Jin Soon Choi showed her creativity with paint splats that covered the entire shoe.
Artist Niky Roehreke embellished her pair with flowers.
