Earlier this year when A$AP Rocky debuted his collections with Guess that featured nostalgic ’90s designs, we only had one question: When is it coming to the Philippines?
The answer to that question is now here. Mark July 14 on your calendars as the GUESS Club and Ice Cream and Cotton Candy collections of the collab will be dropping in SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, Glorietta, Ayala Town Center, and SM Cebu.
The collections feature classic Guess designs and prints given the A$AP Rocky twist for both men and women. Picks from the Ice Cream and Cotton Candy collection are my favorites as they are rendered in pastel colors.
In a feature on WWD, A$AP Rocky said the collab draws from his childhood. “I’m a man-child, so the collaboration represents colorful, fun clothes, like a clubhouse collection,” he said. “It’s all tracking back to my childhood: Saturday morning and early afternoon with cereal and cartoons, toys, records and eight tracks, Toys ‘R’ Us. I want to be a kid forever.”
And it looks like A$AP Rocky is getting his wish come true by making us want to sport items from our younger years.
