This month has been filled with baby news that we can’t catch up anymore. (Kidding, we need to.) One of them was Sarah Lahbati, who’s 12 weeks pregnant with her second baby with Richard Gutierrez.
After making the announcement on It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez, Sarah is still hard at work with TV guestings and endorsements. You’d think that she’d be ill due to morning sickness, but she seemed bubbly during CloseUp’s product launch yesterday.
We sat down with Sarah for a quick Preen Pop Quiz (three minutes to be exact) for an update on her pregnancy and her upcoming wedding.
How’s your second pregnancy so far? Is it more difficult or easier than before?
It’s better than my first pregnancy. I feel stronger because I think I have more experience on things I didn’t know then. I found out that working out is actually okay and it’s making me stronger. [I’m also experiencing] headaches and lots of nausea during the first trimester.
What workout routines do you do?
Very light workouts. Nothing crazy, no jumping around. Just light weights.
Are you starting to have weird cravings?
Yes, Chinese food. Specifically dimsum.
How excited is Zion for the baby?
He’s very excited. Also I’m kind of enjoying this moment as him being the bunso before he becomes a kuya. Everyone’s already like, “Oh, you’re going to be a kuya!” And he’s like, “What?” [Laughs] So I have to give him more attention now more than ever before the new baby comes because Zion might get jealous. I’m showing him lots of love and attention.
Have you thought of baby names already?
Not yet! I have to know the gender first.
How’s the wedding planning going?
I have a wedding planner handling it. Also, it’ll happen after the pregnancy.
Did you switch up your beauty routine while you’re pregnant?
I already have stretch marks from when I was pregnant with Zion and I embrace them [so I don’t do anything to get rid of them.] Other than that, I drink lots of water because of course, when you’re pregnant you go to the toilet a lot. You might get dehydrated. I also avoid products with retinol or retinoid because it’s harmful for the baby. So I switched to more natural products.
