Get Curly Locks Without the Heat Like Saab Magalona

If you have straight or wavy hair, you understand the struggle of wanting some curls. Using a curling iron, however, isn’t always the best choice since the heat can damage your hair. For those looking for heatless alternatives, we’ve got you covered. We put together a list of products you can try out and simple tips you can do at home. Read through and get curlin’.

Braids

One of the easiest ways to get curly hair minus the heat is overnight braids. Before going to bed, section off your hair and braid normally. You can also adjust the thickness of the braids depending on how much volume you want. In the morning, remove the breads, brush out your hair, and set it so it lasts all day.

Sleep Styler

A post shared by Saab Magalona-Bacarro (@saabmagalona) on Oct 9, 2017 at 7:14am PDT

For the ladies who want something quick and easy, try this product that Saab Magalona uses. The Sleep Styler will curl and dry your locks while you sleep. It also only took her five minutes to wrap her hair around the rollers. If you have short hair, they have rollers of different sizes too.

Headband

If you want to curl your hair while you’re doing your makeup, use an elastic headband. This is best to do when your hair is still damp. Place the headband on the crown of your head and twist your hair while wrapping it around the headband.

Curlformers

You have probably seen videos of this product being used so we’re adding it to the list. If you’re not sure how it works, watch the tutorial above.

Foam curlers

One product I’ve tried myself are foam curlers. They come in different widths so you can make your curls varying sizes. All you have to do is wrap your hair around the curler and bend to secure them. You can even try sleeping with these in your hair if you want tighter curls.
