Last October, Ben Wintle proposed to Iza Calzado in front of friends and family in Tagaytay. Some of you might be wondering about their wedding but Iza has a message for people asking about the details.
According to Inquirer.net she said in a media gathering, “I want to tell people that ‘maybe I’m just not that kind of woman; maybe I’ve always been career-driven.’ We’ve been looking for a wedding planner for the longest time. Of course, I’d still be involved, but I want March to finish first. Everything is hectic.”
Iza also shared that although she and Ben are busy and want to elope, “we know we deserve to have that party.”
One part of the wedding that’s going to take some time? “Writing the guest list is the toughest. My dad used to say, ‘You have to be a mercenary,’ so that would be a big problem, because I’m Miss Congeniality.”
We can’t speak from experience so we can only imagine how stressful it is to plan a wedding on top other obligations like work. So maybe we should let couples share details in their own time no matter how excited we get. Because, we’ll admit, we get pretty pumped about celebrity wedding news.
