Labor Day weekend is approaching and last-minute plans are inevitable. But you still have a few days to get some planning in order, like accommodations. If you’re planning easy, breezy trips, hostels are your best bet. Whether you’re driving, flying, or backpacking, these budget-friendly spots offer more than you think. Aside from providing dorms for solo travelers and a great view of your surroundings, they also have many communal areas. Here, you will be able to meet fellow vacationers. This is the perfect opportunity to test your social and skills and make some new friends. Are you sold on this idea yet? If you are, check out the list below for some of the hostels in the country that you can visit this weekend.

Get a private bunk for you and your friends or book a bed in the different dorms. Their services include airport transfers, and assistance when booking tours. You can also spend some time in their shared spaces to meet new people. Go to The Table for good food and conversation and The Woods for outdoor activities. The Nest the central hub of the hostel while The Deck is where you can grab breakfast or have a nightcap. For more information, visit their website.

1521 Hostel, Mactan

If you’re traveling with a big group, book their private family room, which can fit up to five adults. You can also opt to stay in their mixed or female dormitory rooms for four persons. There is a balcony where you can enjoy some fresh air and a communal area where you can have some coffee and get some work done. The walls are also covered with vibrant murals in blue and red. For more information, visit their website.

The Circle Hostel, Baler

Hit up a surf spot this Labor Day break and head over to Baler. Depending on what kind of traveler you are, The Circle Hostel has options for you. They offer private rooms, co-ed and female dorms, and hammocks for the truly chill beach wanderer. While taking a break from the waves, you can chill in their open air common area. Looking to kill some time? Check if they have any upcoming workshops or musical guests. For more information, visit their website.

Keep cold this weekend and plan a trip to Sagada. If you’re a coffee lover, consider booking a stay at the Coffee Heritage House.Aside from waking up to a calming view, you can also go on their coffee farm tour and berry picking activity. Sip on some hot coffee while you take in the beautiful scenery. For more information, visit their website.

Book a flight to Cebu and stay in this homey hostel. They have rooms filled with bunk beds, which can hold up to eight or 10 people. They also offer private rooms that have two large beds. We suggest booking the price that has breakfast. The outdoor seating areas have a rustic vibe with its wooden furniture. Grab a seat at a table and order a few drinks from their bar. For more information, visit their website.
