Remember when we would have a long weekend during Labor Day? Well, that’s not happening next week since it’s on Tuesday and we have work on Monday. You’re lucky if you managed to file a vacation leave in advance. But if you didn’t, there are still locations you can go to for a day. We’re listing down places and activities you can do with your friends and family. Go and plan away!
Republ1c Wakepark, Nuvali, Laguna
Get active and try wakeboarding in Nuvali. Republ1c Wakepark features a four-hectare lake where beginners and pros can enjoy. There are also shower rooms and dressing rooms where you can change after wakeboarding, as well as a bar and restaurant if you want to grab a bite. For inquiries, visit their website.
La Union
La Union is four hours away from Manila, but you can travel really early in the morning so you can arrive there by breakfast time. You grab food and coffee before going to the beach. You can even go surfing and tour the other sites. Here’s a package you can avail if you want to go on a one-day road trip.
Mt. Pamitinan, Rizal
Not feeling the beach? Then go hike up Mt. Pamitinan in Rodriguez, Rizal which is a two-hour drive from Manila. According to Pinoy Mountaineer, it’ll take up to two and a half hours to reach the peak. When you reach the top, you’ll get a view of the Sierra Madre mountain range and also the town of Rizal. Book a trip on Trail Adventours.
