Aside from physical health, we also have to make sure we’re taking care of our mental health. And, former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams is doing just that. On Instagram she posted a photo message that read, “For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing.”

A post shared by Michelle Williams (@michellewilliams) on Jul 17, 2018 at 12:01pm PDT

According to Vulture, Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles Lawson left a positive comment on the post. “Michelle My Bell, I’m so proud of you! You have given unselfishly of your time and support to so many and I know you will be the best example of self care, which we all need.”

Since suffering from depression and having suicidal thoughts during her time in Destiny’s Child and advocating about the importance of mental health, she checked herself into a mental health facility.

Stay strong, Michelle! We admire you for seeking help for something that is so important.
