Last Sept. 20, baby Xavi officially turned one-year-old. Mom Liz Uy, who has a knack for being extra, literally brought out the fiesta in celebration of her son’s birthday yesterday. With Gideon Hermosa as the event decorator, the venue was transformed into a festival, with colorful banderitas strung everywhere, bucket bags, banig and ottomans by Halo-halo store decked out throughout the room, and of course, our favorite part in fiestas: unlimited food. There was lechon, Pinoy snacks like a big platter of kakanin, palamig, and dirty ice cream, a big hit among the kids. There was even an emulation of a sari-sari store, complete with our favorite childhood snacks.
Xavi looked so adorable in his little barong, which was designed by Rajo Laurel.
He had lots of playmates, too. Among those present in the party were celebrity moms and their babies, including Mariel Padilla and daughter Isabella, Nikki Gil and son Finn, and Isabelle Daza and her son Baltie.
The kids had lots to play with, including a ball pit, and fiesta-themed games like palayok. Liz’s partner Raymond Racaza helped baby Xavi hit the candy-filled palayok, to the delight of the kids, who were eagerly waiting for the sweets.
The party was hosted by Raymond Gutierrez and Nicole Andersson. The adults had their fun, too. They participated in games like Hep Hep Hooray and Bingo, where BJ Pascual won and got La Mer products.
Other guests spotted were Felicia Atienza, Sarah Lahbati, and Bea Soriano Dee.
Below, you can see Liz and her family and friends gathered around to sing “Happy birthday,” as Xavi blew out the candles to his mascarpone pandan, ube birthday cake from Cupcake Lab PH.
Happy 1st birthday, Xavi!
