The makeup artist responsible for the faces of celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, and more, just revealed her industry secrets to Refinery29. In the interview, Pati Dubroff shared how she discovered makeup and how she made it into career—plus all the products she loves using on her clients.
She starts with good skincare (yes, agree), a mix of different formulations for the base, and then she said that when it comes to lipstick, she always looks for a specific formulation. “The density of the color is key when you create a blurred lip. Look for lipsticks that have texture that kind of look like powder in the tube. I like to pat on Sunnies Face Fluffmatte lipsticks with my fingers, blending the shades out to the edges. It’s the easiest way to create a strong lip without making it severe.”
