Since 2016, Selena Gomez has had the most followers on Instagram. As of writing, she has 144 million followers. Although, in September, she announced that she was taking a break from social media and we totally understand and appreciate that.
According to Elle, someone has broken that record with 147 million followers: Cristiano Ronaldo. This would have been cool and everything if he wasn’t being accused of rape. In October, model Kathryn Mayorga came forward with her story from 2009. “Basically he… he begged me to touch his penis for 30 seconds,” Kathryn said. “I was laughing at him because I thought, ‘Is this a joke? This guy is so famous and so hot… he’s a frickin’ loser and a creep.’” She also said that he groped her and forced her to have sex with him. Cristiano also allegedly made her sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep her quiet.
So, if you are one of the 147 million people following Cristiano on IG, it’s time to hit unfollow.
