Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the top football players in the world, has been accused of raping a woman in 2009. Not only that, his victim alleged that she’s been silent for so long because his legal team made her sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep quiet.
Former model Kathryn Mayorga told German magazine Der Spiegel that it happened in Ronaldo’s penthouse suite in Las Vegas. She said they were at the nightclub where she was working at and the football player forced her to have anal sex despite telling him “no” numerous times.
“Basically he…he begged me to touch his penis for 30 seconds,” Kathryn said. “I was laughing at him because I thought, ‘Is this a joke? This guy that is so famous and so hot…he’s a frickin’ loser and a creep.'” She added that Ronaldo agreed to let her leave after one kiss, but he continued to grope and forced her to have sex with him.
“After the assault, he wouldn’t let me leave again. He wouldn’t let me leave,” she said.
Kathryn reportedly filed a complaint with the Las Vegas police after the incident and underwent medical examinations at a local hospital. But she was pressured to settle the case and sign an NDA worth $375,000. The charges were also dropped due to lack of evidence.
According to Der Spiegel, there were a series of questionnaires included in the settlement files wherein Ronaldo denied the claims. But an earlier version allegedly had a written admission where it said “she said no and stop several times.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has denied the claims, calling it “fake news.” His lawyer is also threatening Kathryn and Der Spiegel over the rape accusations, calling it “illegal and violates the personal rights” of Ronaldo.
But Kathryn doesn’t seem fazed by this and seems determined to continue the case. She’s also seeking no less than $200,000 from his camp for penalties and damages.
Let’s hope that the truth will come out eventually and that justice will be served for you, Kathryn.
