Everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) lost it when they realized that Ariana Grande’s new tattoo spelled “shichirin” which translates to “a small charcoal grill” instead of “7 Rings.”
Ariana was pretty chill about it in a now-deleted tweet. “Indeed, I left out ‘つの指’ which should have gone in between. It hurt like f*ck n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao,” she said. “But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time.”
But since everyone had comments and feedback, she shared that they have a new plan to correct her tattoo. She consulted her Japanese tutor Ayumi and even tagged her tattoo artist Kane Navasard.
They will be adding new Kanji symbols so that the translation could be as close as possible to “seven finger circle” or yeah, “7 Rings.”
She will be seeing her artist in a few hours so watch this space for more updates on Ariana’s tattoo.
