After shedding some tears at the Valentino fashion show, here is what Naomi Campbell has been up to. According to the Sunday Times, she “has pledged to change perceptions about Africa.” That’s a very bold statement and you’re probably wondering how she’s going to do it. She is going to be the headline speaker at the Forbes Africa Leading Women Summit happening this week.

In a statement she said, “I look forward to shining a bright spotlight on Africa and its inspirational women. I pledge to change perceptions about Africa worldwide.” If she can’t convince you then, let’s not forget that time she let her assistant wipe away her tears while meeting Nelson Mandela.
