We’re not just whipping up drinks to cool ourselves down, we’re also indulging in ice-cold desserts. And one sweet treat that we noticed making the rounds recently have lots of mangoes in it.

Most of them are basically mango float—a  dish made with mangoes, cream, and graham crackers—in a cup. You get mango ice cream with different toppings like chocolate, Oreos, ube, and cheese. Other desserts come in cold pudding-like form, which is equally delish.

It’s really a sign that mangoes are becoming the “it” fruit of summer 2019—starting from beauty products and now, into our new go-to dessert. Here’s where you can find some:

This stall started out in Davao and later opened franchises in Metro Manila. Maxi Mango is known for its classic mango float ice cream and their shakes. All their products are less than P150 too. Very affordable. Located at SM Mall of Asia.

Dolce Mango’s ice cream cups remind me of a mango-flavored halo-halo. It has leche flan, macapuno, crushed graham crackers, cream cheese milk, and fresh mangoes. There’s also one variation that has crushed Oreo cookies on top. There’s a flavor for every sweet tooth out there. Located at Ayala Circuit Mall.

Hong Kong-based dessert chain, Hui Lau Shan opened its doors in the Philippines earlier this year. According to NoliSoli.ph, it only infused mangoes into their dishes in the 1990s. Since then, the Mango Chewy Ball (a mango-coconut ice cream with mochi balls) has become one of their most popular treats. Located at SM Megamall.

Mango Float Supreme Manila

What sets Mango Float Supreme Manila’s float apart is it has tapioca pearls and the ice cream is sitting on top of a mango shake. Feel free to consume this with a metal straw or with a spoon. Located at Greenfield District.

Our team has turned a household favorite into a parfait with a twist. It’s Mango Float Parfait layered with pandan whipped cream and cookie butter caramel. It’s topped with our homemade gelato made with mangoes from Guimaras. Now available in all branches!

What’s better than a regular mango float? One that’s in parfait form. Manila Creamery’s creation includes pandan whipped cream, graham crackers, cookie butter caramel, fresh mangoes, and mango milk gelato to top it off. I’m just looking at the photo and I’m already craving for it. Located at UP Town Center.
