Pantone finally revealed its Color of the Year for 2020 on Wednesday, Dec. 5, and it’s Classic Blue. The reveal is a bold switch from this year’s color, which is Living Coral. Now, this might look like an ordinary color choice, but Pantone described Classic Blue as a “timeless and enduring hue, elegant in its simplicity” that “highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation from which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.” This color is just the right shade of blue—soothing, dreamy, and sky-like.
