We’ll at least see some progress in the upcoming The Super Bowl. Napoleon Jinnies and Quinton Peron will make history on Feb. 3 as the first-ever male cheerleaders on the field.

Last March, they successfully made it to the Los Angeles Rams team.

Napoleon said their feat was a “humbling and amazing” experience. Quinton asserted in an interview with Good Morning America that he belonged there. “I was at (an L.A.) Lakers game (right before making the team) and I was watching the Laker Girls,” he said. “And I was asking myself, ‘Why can’t I be down there?’ I’ve choreographed for girls who dance on pro teams, I’ve danced with girls on various pro teams. I just thought, ‘why not me?'”

Their success was followed by Jesse Hernandez trying out for the New Orleans Saints’ Saintsations cheerleading team and also making it. He told CNN that his mom sent him a link with their story. “She told me it was my time to shine,” he said in a video posted before his final audition. Aww!

Congrats to these young trailblazers!
