Cardi B says a photographer flashed his penis during a magazine shoot

Cardi B has come forward with her own #MeToo story. In an interview in “Untold Stories of Hip-Hop,” she talked about how a photographer sexually assaulted her during a magazine shoot.

“I will never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine and the photographer, he was trying to get close to me like, ‘Yeah, you want to get in this magazine?’ Then he pulled his d*** out,” Cardi tells host Angie Martinez. “I was so f***ing mad, and I was just like, ‘This is crazy.'”

Cardi says she walked out of the shoot and told the publication head about the incident. However, she claims they “just looked at me like, ‘So? And?’”

The rapper was criticized in the past for drugging and stealing from men when she was still a stripper. Some netizens claimed she raped them like what Bill Cosby did to several women, and that she deserved the same #MeToo treatment as the disgraced actor. However, Cardi never said she had sex with the men after drugging them.

She later apologized and explained it was what she had to do to survive and admitted she made “poor choices” at the time.”I never glorified the things I brought up in that live. I never even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of it and feel a responsibility not to glorify it. I made the choices that I did at the time because I had very limited options,” she wrote on Instagram last March.

The drugging incident has left people divided. We agree that Cardi should be held accountable for her past actions. But her #MeToo story shouldn’t be swept under the rug as well because this happens to several women, and it needs to stop.
