We’re making “spooky-pretty” happen with these Halloween-themed beauty collections

They say Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. But for makeup lovers, it’s Halloween: The only holiday where all kinds of unique and creepy looks are more than welcome.

This is also the best time for many brands to come out with Halloween-themed products, which are based on elements like pumpkins and bats, and also horror icons. For 2019, there have been some spooky (not literally) collections, as well as items named after characters you might already be familiar with.

If you’re looking for products to use for your Halloween look this year or just want to cop them for your personal makeup collection, check the list below.

Makeup Revolution Halloween Skull Highlighter in Creature of the Night

Makeup Revolution’s Halloween 2019 collection includes makeup, SFX makeup, and hair coloring products. One of the eye-catching products is the liquid highlighter that comes in a skull-shaped container. The shade Creature of the Night is a shimmery champagne you can apply on your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, and cupid’s bow. Available online.

Colourpop Maleficent Crème Lux Lipstick

This lipstick is inspired by the dark fairy, Maleficent, as part of Colourpop’s Disney Villains makeup line. It comes in a deep magenta shade with a creamy long-wearing formula. If you’re planning on dressing up as Maleficent this Halloween, you can switch the red lipstick with this Colourpop one. Available online.

Trixie Cosmetics Sprinkles in Buffy

If you’re looking for chunky glitter you can use on your eyes, hair, and body, Buffy is for you. It has pink hearts and crosses inspired by “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Pair this with your grungy Halloween looks! Available online.

Beetlejuice Handbook for the Recently Deceased Eyeshadow Palette

Don’t say “Beetlejuice” thrice if you don’t want to summon him. But if you want to use eyeshadow inspired by him, be our guest! This 12-pan palette comes in a book-shaped package and names lifted from the horror flick. (e.g. Lydia, Shrunken Head, and It’s Showtime) Available on Hot Topic’s website.

Lush Bewitched Bubble Bar

Lush’s annual Halloween collection is here and it includes this black cat-shaped bubbler bar. It’s made with olibanum oil, which has a citrusy scent and meant to help tone and soothe the skin. Use this after a long day of work, or after your third Halloween party for the month. Available online.
