It’s that time of the year again where artists and art enthusiasts come together for the country’s biggest art exhibition. Art Fair Philippines has always geared itself to expanding the audience for Philippine visual art, and this year, they’re reaching out by exploring more opportunities for local art.
Art Fair Philippines will introduce a new section called ArtFairPH/Open Studios, which will be offering a series of workshops that will help anyone hone their craft. These will be held by seasoned professionals such as Paco Guerrero, Neal Oshima, Mark Nicdao, Benji Reyes, among others.
They will also introduce the ArtFairPH/Film section, which gives the spotlight to cinematic art. Curated by Erwin Romulo, Philbert Dy, and Teddy Co, this section celebrates the last 100 years of Philippine Cinema. It will screen a selection of the best feature-length and short films of different genres and forms showcasing the diversity of Philippine Cinema.
Meanwhile, the new ArtFairPH/Incubators is a platform for creative spaces that stray away from the mainstream gallery format. Curated by Sandra Palomar, the platform will feature a visual reality piece by Isay Rodriguez—a simulated and interactive beehive-like environment.

The Embassy of Italy in Manila will also be taking part in the fair, presenting a special cultural exchange project to Art Fair Philippines patrons. A highlight of the project is the participation of Galleria Tiziana Di Car, a contemporary art gallery from Naples.
