Who’s trying to hack Angel Locsin’s email and social media accounts?

Okay, time to reveal yourself. Who’s trying to be Hackerman and targeting our palaban fave?

Not one to back down when she sees wrong, or gets wronged in this case, Angel Locsin took to Instagram to reveal that there have been several attempts to hack her email and social media accounts.

On Aug. 6, the actress posted a screenshot of a notice that her account has been temporarily locked after a suspicious log-in attempt from Miami, Florida. She wrote on the Instagram story, “Someone’s trying to repeatedly hack my Twitter, Facebook and email.”

This incident comes after reported attempts to buy out fan accounts of her supporters as well as those of her fellow Kapamilya stars such as Bea Alonzo. Whether this is meant to intimidate celebrities who have been outspoken about the denial of the ABS-CBN franchise renewal or a tactic similar to the fake accounts scheme possibly employed by troll farms in order to spread disinformation remains a question. But one thing’s for sure, it never hurts to bulk up security for your accounts and cover your internet footprint these days.

While we’re waiting for an update from Locsin, you can support some of her initiatives such her donation drive for the benefit of LBTQ+ entertainers affected by the lockdown. It’s what our queen would have wanted.
