Last Easter, Drew and Iya Arellano announced that they are finally expecting a baby soon and they did so in the cutest way possible. A few weeks in and we still see Iya give updates on the fitness routines that she has been working on—she even said that she adjusted her usual workouts because of her pregnancy.
But that did not stop netizens from commenting and giving her unsolicited advice saying that she might regret working out during her pregnancy in the future because this will not have positive effects on the baby.
Sunday run… Check! 😊 always a joy with these galz 👭 #BabyA loves that the mama is active 😊 Will run while I can as I know eventually it will fade out into a light jog (maybe even a walk) as my belly grows and gets heavy 😝 We missed you @nessantiago! 🐅 #TeamP #NoViolentReactionsPls #FitPregnancy #ActiveMama #NothingNewToBabyA #2ndTrimester #GoodVibesLang 😊 A photo posted by @iyavillania on Apr 2, 2016 at 6:54pm PDT
On her next fitness-related post, she even used a hashtag #NoViolentReactionsPls, #ActiveMama, and #NothingNewToBabyA just to prove a point that what she is doing is healthy and beneficial to her and her baby.
Finally, on her most recent post was a workout video online where she was doing core exercises. She shared the benefits of working out while she’s pregnant, saying that it helps reduce the chances of going through a C-section by 75 percent and that what she is doing is, again, nothing new and has been approved by her doctor. It’s all about listening to your body and knowing what is beneficial for it and what’s not. So I guess the negative comments should stop now, that is her body after all.
