Wil Dasovich received an outpouring of support from friends, fans, and celebrities when he announced that he has cancer. Almost a week since then, he shares what he plans to do to beat the disease, and what he thinks of the #1MilForWil hashtag.
At the start of the video, Wil emphasized that he’ll maintain his healthy lifestyle. “I have a big battle ahead of me and if I want to overcome it, I have to stay focused on the things that will help me win this,” he said. “The irony of this couldn’t be greater that someone who is endorsing a healthy lifestyle becomes ill.”
He’ll do this by exercising and eating nutritional food before he loses energy and weight during chemotherapy. Wil also noted how having fun, reaching for goals, and continuing YouTube will greatly help his well-being. Plus, he clarified that his “ultimate dream” isn’t to have one million subscribers.
“They always fail to mention to motivate, share positive experiences, lead by example, [and] inspire as many people as possible,” he said. “I’m living my ultimate dream [and] it’s to continue [vlogging on YouTube.]”
Wil’s advice is also applicable to anyone who is going through hardships and need inspiration to get through it. “Just have faith. Manalangin lang kayo.” (Just pray.)
