In the past month or so, sexual assault claims against men in Hollywood and the fashion world have been made. From Harvey Weinstein to Terry Richardson, and even Kevin Spacey, women and men are coming forward with their stories of sexual harassment. Another to add to the list of sexual predators is Dustin Hoffman.
In a story written in The Hollywood Reporter, Anna Graham Hunter claims she was sexually harassed by Dustin when she was 17 years old. In the essay she explains that she was working as a production assistant on the set of Death of a Salesman, a 1985 TV film.
While on set, Dustin would ask Anna to give foot massages, flirted with her, talked about sex in front of her, and grabbed her butt. One morning while she was taking his breakfast order in his dressing room he said, “I’ll have a hard boiled egg… and a soft-boiled clitoris.” As he and his friends laughed, Anna went to the bathroom to cry. These acts of sexual harassment went on for five weeks on set.
According to Refinery29, Dustin released a statement saying, “I have the utmost respect for women and feel terrible that anything I might have done could have put her in an uncomfortable situation. I am sorry. It is not reflective of who I am.” Sorry, Dustin but following these allegations, maybe you should take a step back and reflect on your actions.
