When Grrrl Gang Manila started last year, the group has been dedicated to support feminism and raise awareness on women’s issues. Yesterday, they celebrated their first anniversary with an all-day affair filled with various topics for women and by women.
The event was held at Dulo MNL in Makati City, and they had an all-female art exhibit, Grrrl Gang meet, and even a sex toy workshop by Ilya. It wasn’t a super formal gathering too as attendees were free to chill on the bean bags and mats on the floor.
The night ended with open mic performances and live music from female-fronted bands. (Taking note of them so I can catch their gigs next time.)
