Plastic Bags You’ll Actually Want to Use and Carry

With the state of the environment, using any form of plastic is frowned upon. People are no longer using plastic bags as the grocery but we ask you to reconsider. Don’t worry, we’re not talking about those toxic plastic bags but rather totes and other pieces that are made to look like plastic. You might have seen Céline’s version on the runway and many other brands have played around with the trend.

From grocery tote bags to backpacks, these PVC pieces are now seen everywhere. So, if you’re looking for a plastic bag that you won’t feel guilty carrying around, shop our list below.

Mango Vinyl Shopper Bag

Taking cues from Céline, Mango designed their own clear shopper bag. This one comes with a black pouch with a drawstring closure. Use this when you don’t feel like showing off the contents of your bag. This inner compartment is detachable though so use it according to your preference. Available at Power Plant Mall.

MM6 Maison Margiela Clear Backpack

Clear bags also come in the form of backpacks. This is made of 100 percent PVC, including the straps and front pocket. There is one main compartment with a zip closure in a tan color. Bring this piece along with you when you’re off to a festival or when you’re feeling adventurous with your outfit. Available on Farfetch.

Charles and Keith Oversized Tote Bag

If you want a bag that isn’t completely clear, pick up this one from Charles and Keith. It’s an oversized tote bag that has a pink iridescent colors. It also comes with a matching pink pouch where you can keep small items like loose change and keys. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Bershka Transparent Belt Bag

Combine two trends with this transparent belt bag. This is a good bag to carry when you’re just running around doing errands or meeting friends for lunch. It’s made of a clear material with black straps and zippers. You can fit your phone, wallet, shades, and earphones in this bag. Available at SM Aura Premier.

Raf Simons Shopping Bag

Raf Simons has a few clear bags including this shopping bag. This PVC piece is described as “both functional and of course waterproof.” With the unexpected showers we’ve been getting lately, this seems like a good bag to keep on hand. Available online.
