Would you rent out your armpits as ad space?

Did you ever think that your armpits can garner enough views that it can actually be rented out as ad space? Wakino Ad Company from Japan seems to think so as they started recruiting young models to become walking ad spaces.

The company wanted to capitalize on the subway system in order to get brands the views and inquiries they need. They believe in the concept so much that models get paid 10,000 yen per hour, that’s equivalent to P4,743. Not bad, huh?

The first company to ever back up Wakino is a beauty treatment center Seishin Biyo Clinic. Ironically, they are promoting their painless underarm hair removal service.

This is kind of weird. Are you looking to make some extra money? A Japanese advertising company is paying people to place ads in their armpits! #7News pic.twitter.com/CKFxa5MZTd

Wakino are also recruiting models, both men and women, and is holding a National Waki Beauty contest to search for the best-looking armpits in Japan. It’s pretty intense!

This is not the first time that a Japanese company used the body as a form of ad space. In 2013, more than 3,000 registered to have ads on their legs and thighs. Some promoted the movie Ted, while others promoted the new release of Green Day.

So, would you be willing to rent out your armpits? Let us know in the comments section below.
