Earlier today, OPM legend Rico J. Puno has sadly passed away at the age of 65 due to his heart condition. This was confirmed by concert producer Anna Puno who said, “Numbed with grief, I would like to call on all entertainers in the OPM Industry as well as his worldwide fans to stop for a moment and say a prayer to one of the most respected singers in the country.”
He is known for classics such as “Sorry na Pwede Ba,” “Kahit Maputi na Ang Buhok Ko,” and “Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko.”
An indispensible figure in Philippine music, local stars and musicians, including Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ogie Alcasid, and Lea Salonga mourn the loss of the singer through their social media accounts.
