Pete Davidson is done getting bullied

These past few weeks, Ariana Grande has been dominating our feeds, what with her smash track and video for “Thank u, Next.” While we’ve been hearing from Ari, Pete Davidson—her ex-fiancé and one of the exes mentioned in her track—has been keeping it low-key. But he broke his silence with a post on his Instagram account. In it, he addressed the overwhelming hate he’s been receiving online ever since he and Ari broke up. “I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy, the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference,” He wrote. “I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for nine months. I’ve spoken about BPS and being suicidal publicly only in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth.” Adding that, “No matter how hard the Internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is—I see you, and I love you.”

Last week, Ariana’s manager Scooter Braun also took to social media to defend Pete, saying, “Stop the bullsh*t” and “Pete is a good dude. No one has hate for this guy, and he is a stand-up guy. Show respect because, trust me, everyone on this side knows he deserves it and wishes him well.” We’re sure Ari also doesn’t want this kind of hate for her ex. She and Pete both cleared they have nothing but respect for each other, after all.

Seriously guys, stop the hate. It’s harmful and completely unnecessary.
