Singer Bebe Rexha was not afraid to speak up against designers on Instagram. She posted a video sharing that she was nominated for best new artist at this year’s Grammys. She went on to explain that usually artists will contact designers to have a custom look made for them for the event. So, naturally, she asked her team to reach out to these designers.
What happened next was far from cool. A lot of the designers don’t want to dress her because she’s “too big.” Bebe said, “If a size six [or] eight is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you. Then I don’t want to wear your f*cking dresses ‘cause that’s crazy. You’re saying that all women in the world size eight and up are not beautiful and they cannot wear your dresses.”
We can’t believe this is still happening but props to Bebe for telling it like it is.
