In my view, it will be bad for me to think of 2022 because I’m doing a lot as Vice-President), Robredo told reporters. She also said she wants to focus on Angat Buhay, the VP’s project addressing the needs of those living in poverty, instead of campaigning in voter-rich areas.
When asked about the possibility of running against Sara Duterte-Carpio in 2022, Robredo didn’t directly address it. But she mentioned that becoming President is “destiny” and it’s given to a candidate if it’s meant for them. (Our history has shown that it’s not something you prepare for. Many have tried. But if it’s meant for you then it will be yours. If it’s not really meant for you, whatever you do, it won’t be given.)
