Michelle Branch just bought a haunted brooch

Have you ever walked into a jewelry store and left with a haunted brooch? Probably not, unless you’re singer Michelle Branch. She took to Instagram to share this pretty wild story.

She and Patrick Carney were at a jewelry store picking up their wedding rings. “While waiting for our receipt I noticed this stunning old brooch in the case and asked the sales person ‘can you tell me more about this brooch?’” It’s from the 1750s and is the oldest piece in the store. That’s not the only interesting thing about it. “Suddenly Patrick jumps back exclaiming that the brooch, under glass, has just moved towards us about an inch and a half!” Michelle shared. “Literally falling out of the original box.” If that were me, I would’ve left the shop right then and there but that’s not what they did. Patrick ended up buying it as a wedding gift for Michelle. But, she did end the story with this disclaimer: “Don’t worry, I’ve already cleared it with sage.”

I just have one thing to say: if anything spooky happens in their house, it’s safe to assume where it’s coming from.
