Retail therapy isn’t something that mainstream media made up to justify shopping and makeover scenes. It’s an actual activity that gives us a mood boost because we have new things, and it gives us something to do when we’re feeling down. (Capitalism: They make you feel better about yourself, too.)
Here’s another thing you might not know: Aside from improving our moods and emotions, the need to shop can also depend on your menstrual cycle. It’s said that when a woman is ovulating, they feel the need to buy more clothes and makeup. But during the luteal phase, the shopping lists become more home-oriented.
Whatever your reasons are for shopping, this weekend is the perfect time for you to buy new items for your closet, apartment, and pantry. Add the events below to your calendar and ready your tote bags for all the stuff you’re getting.
