The P in pandemic means “periods still happen”

I Support The Girls (ISTG) – Metro Manila provides pads, tampons, bras and other essentials to women amid the COVID-19 crisis, including frontliners. Currently, they’re planning to distribute these to stranded college students (those who weren’t able to go home because of the lockdown) and to Kaisa Ka, an organization that serves “underprivileged women and girls.”

“Menstruation doesn’t stop when a woman is facing hardship,” says Denise Fabella, affiliate director of ISTG – Metro Manila. “Menstruation doesn’t stop when the world is in a crisis. We’re doing all that we can to aid menstruating people across Metro Manila.”

They’ve also been gathering donations of old bras for these underprivileged women. If you want to donate yours, you can catch ISTG – Metro Manila at their Facebook and Instagram pages.

In case you didn’t know, ISTG, founded by Dana Marlowe in 2015, is an international non-profit organization that aims to provide women with hygiene essentials. Since then, ISTG has over 58 affiliate chapters all over the world (including the Philippines, which was seeded in 2017).

Lia is what you can describe as an adorkable person. She's always passionate about what she does, but she's also very clumsy. On her free time, she usually plays video games with her friends and cuddle with her baby chi Peanut.
