I have very thin and brittle nails so I try to take extra care of them. Aside from taking a break from wearing nail polish, I have gone the extra step and started using cuticle cream. Cuticle creams add moisture, strengthens brittle nails, and some even have anti-aging properties. Most of these products can also be used as hand creams, making them look and feel softer.
Here are some cuticle creams and butters that you can test out if you want to give your nails and hands some extra care.
Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

This is an oil to balm product that hydrates dry skin and nails. It is easily abosorbed and does not leave a greasy texture once applied. It contains condensed ceramide and nine vegetable oils that moisturize and create a layer of protection. Available on Sephora PH.
Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter
Take care of dry and cracked cuticles with this butter from Lush. Beeswax, shea butter, and cold pressed avocado oil moisturize and soften nails and skin. You don’t need to use much of this product to get the job done so you can use the excess cream on your knees and elbows. Available at Bonifacio High Street
Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream
Condition your cuticles with this cream from Clinique. It boosts the skin’s ability to maintin moisture and creates a barrier against the environment. Available at SM Makati.
Butter London Quickfix Moisturizing Cuticle Balm
Keep this cuticle balm in your purse and whip it out when you feel like your nails need some TLC. It is infused with antioxidants to help prevent aging and drying. Phospholipids maintain moisture while coconut and avocado oils address dryness. Available on Sephora PH.
Nuxe Reve De Miel Hand and Nail Cream
This cream contains honey, precious oils, and vitamin E that repair dry hands and nails. It also protects hands from aging and setrengthens nails. It leaves your skin feeling silky and not greasy. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source, Glorietta 4.
