Womens Month Events

March is a month filled with events aimed at empowering girls and women, especially on the 8th which is International Women’s Day. This year’s no different as the metro will be filled with ’em and you can choose one or more depending on your interests, as well as the advocacies you want to support.

If you’re looking for somewhere to go to celebrate Women’s Month, make sure to mark these on your calendar. You can also check back here for other events happening within the month.

How did Filipino women live during World War II? If you’ve always wondered this, go check out Ayala Museum’s Women and War exhibit, which has been extended until March 10. Find the woman—be it a soldier or a farmer—who inspires you in the photographs and paintings you’ll encounter.

“Sick of misogyny? Get your placards ready,” Grrrl Gang Manila asked on Instagram. The ladies behind this non-profit group is surely celebrating International Women’s Day by protesting all forms of misogyny in the country. If you’re interested and ready to create a sign to bring to the rally, just DM Grrrl Gang Manila to ask where you can meet up.

Get to know the ladies in the local music scene at this event. Enjoy DJ sets in the club and courtyard and band performances in the bar. With an all-female lineup, notice the difference in the energy and give them the same love you would men in the music industry. Go by yourself or bring your friends along with you for a night of music, food, and women.
