These days you have to know your sun, moon and rising signs at the very least. Otherwise, you’re missing out on so much astrology-related content and unable to give your input when one of your best friends reveals they’re planning to date a Gemini. Astrology can be a mere party trick or a transformative self-reflective activity. It all depends on how much you’re willing to learn. We’ve listed down online astrology resources to get you started on your astro journey.

I was able to follow the growth of Milk’s account. The Persian-Iranian beauty started studying astrology way back in 2013 but the @milkstrology Twitter account kicked off in 2017. Her content ranges from casual tweets for drag the signs threads paired with Sailor Moon GIFs to more serious discussions on topics like grand trines. If you want to get what the hype surrounding astrology is all about, give Milk a follow. She also has a YouTube channel and offers paid services like writing a $30 158-page personal astrological report.
Cafe Astrology
To get an accurate natal chart reading with a detailed and easy-to-understand explanation, Cafe Astrology is the place to go. For me, real appreciation for astrology as a craft can only start when you get your chart read. It’s quite personal, and it’s leagues above relating to a vague post on social media. The site offers monthly horoscopes according to decan (meaning subdivisions per astrological sign) too. Click on the astrology references section to learn the basics from the site’s astrologer, Annie.
The Dark Pixie Astrology
The Moon is now in Taurus, wanting us to be grounded and stable, and is currently square (hard aspect) Saturn, so we may be feeling overwhelmed right now. The Moon conjuncts (aligns with) Uranus this evening, and we can push outside of our limits in new ways.

Creator and owner of Dark Pixie Astrology Nic Gaudette has been an astrologer since 2004. After halting personal readings due to carpal tunnel, she has since dedicated her time to creating astrology courses for newbie astropixies. She specializes in Western predictive astrology and natal soul astrology. You can take a crash course on beginner astrology by going through the Learn Astrology section of her website or by taking a paid class. Follow Dark Pixie Astrology on Twitter to get updates on things like moon transit.
Astro Library
Astro Library lives up to its name. The site offers free astrological reports, lessons and resources that are easy to understand, making astrology accessible to newbies. You can take a break from the beginner courses by reading their interesting blog posts filed under political astrology and funny astrology. Astro Library makes the intricate parts of astrology look doable.
Lindaland by Linda Goodman
Linda Goodman made a point about how insight into why the signs are the way they are may help us be more forgiving of them when they don’t behave the way we might expect. Here’s the part about Capricorn!

One of the most popular astrologers, the late Linda Goodman is the author of the first astrology book to make The New York Times Best Seller list. I personally swear by her first book “Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs.” Although some of her sentiments are dated, the writing is still engrossing and a bit snarky. Lindaland contains many forums where you can learn and talk to fellow budding astrologers. Even though the site looks old, members are still posting everyday. This dedication illustrates Goodman’s lasting impact on the community. Get copies of her books to learn straight from her.
Astrodienst
Astrodienst is a Swiss company that developed the computer software for precise horoscope calculation that is reputable in astrological circles. Dr. Alois Treindl created the software based on the practice of well-regarded astrologer Liz Greene. The website is available in a variety of languages and offers a wealth of astrological tools and content. Although you can begin learning with their Introduction to Astrology, I recommend going through the site after having the basics down. Check out their extended chart selections to get insights deeper than what you can get from a basic natal chart.
After you get the hang of astrology, connect with local astrologers like hellapinay and develop your own practice. You’ll be a true-blue astro babe in no time.
