Continuing for almost two decades, collaborations between Nike and COMME des GARÇONS try to bridge the gap between streetwear and high fashion. Over the weekend, the Japanese brand put on their men’s SS18 fashion show where the models were wearing what looks like a new sneaker collaboration with Nike. The brands first collaborated in 1999 where they released the Alpha Project Zoom, with the color scheme designed by Junya Watanabe. The shoe came in turbo black with accents of red.
The clothing during the show was a mix of plain and printed pieces, while the sneakers were Nike’s Air Max 180 in two different colorways. Based on the photos, the color combinations look like bright pink and white, and pink and black.
As of writing both brands have not released any details about the shoes but based on their history, we’re sure this pair will be another must-have.
