After months of waiting, we finally get our first official teaser photos for the movie adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians. Is your fangirl heart ready to see them? We hope so.
The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which is fronted by lead actors Constance Wu (Rachel Chu) and Henry Golding (Nick Young), gives us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the film. You’ll see Araminta Lee (Sonoya Mizuno) in a glittery wedding dress, Eleanor Young (Michelle Yeoh) at a party, and what looks like a mansion owned by one of the characters. (Maybe Goh Peik Lin’s family mansion?) No sign of Kris Aquino yet in case you’re wondering.
If the photos looked this good, imagine what the trailer would look like. So exciting!
EW and author Kevin Kwan also disclosed that Crazy Rich Asians will be premiering on Aug. 17, 2018. Mark you calendars now, and while you wait, you can re-read the book too.
