Binge-watchers would know the feeling of having to wait for the next season of their favorite show/s. Sometimes they’ll also get hyped by TV series that coming out next year. But with so many shows out there (even I can’t keep up anymore), we all want to know which one we should invest our time on.
Like with everything, 2018 is bringing us new stuff to watch on TV or on our go-to streaming platforms. Curious to know what they are and to add them to your schedules? Then keep scrolling to read our list.
New shows
Vanity Fair
This mini-series adapted from William Makepeace Thackeray is the perfect series for those who are obsessed with the Victorian era. It will revolve around Becky Sharp (played by Olivia Cooke) as she lives her life before, during, and after the Napoleonic wars.
Castle Rock
We finally get a psychological thriller series centered on Stephen King’s complicated universe titled Castle Rock. Starring Bill Skarsgård (who also played Pennywise in the latest IT movie), it will give you a look of the interconnected worlds of Stephen’s stories. In fact, the prison from Shawshank Redemption will also be part of the series. Just imagine if elements from The Shining and The Mist will make an appearance too.
Sharp Objects
If you loved Gone Girl, then you better watch out for Sharp Objects, which was also written by Gillian Flynn. The eight-episode drama will star Amy Adams and will follow her investigation of two preteen girls’ deaths. Based from Gillian’s other books, we’re expecting jaw-dropping plot twists in this show.
Old shows
Game of Thrones season 8
No one’s ready for the final season of Game of Thrones—we don’t even know yet if it’ll premiere next year or in 2019. But we know everyone wants to know what’ll happen between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, and if they’ll finally defeat the White Walkers.
Divorce season 2
If you’re a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker and her HBO series Divorce, then you better watch out for the upcoming season this Jan. 14. According to Entertainment Weekly, the season will follow Frances’ (SJP) life after her divorce with her ex-husband (played by Thomas Haden Church).

The Marvel Netflix saga continues with the second season of Jessica Jones. The quick teaser showed Jessica in her usual pissed-off state and hinting at a new antagonist. Who could it be? And will there be appearances from the other members of The Defenders?
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
The second season of American Crime Story will touch on the death of iconic fashion designer Gianni Versace. We already saw how Penelope Cruz aced her role as Donnatella Versace. But are you ready to see Darren Criss transform into a scary serial killer? I’m getting shivers just thinking about it.
