If you’re a long-time Preen.ph reader, you know how much we love highlighters. From liquid highlighters to Fenty Beauty’s Trophy Wife, we want it all. Aside from the ones we have featured in the past, we also have our personal favorites. For this week’s Preen Picks we wanted to share the liquid and powder highlighters we keep in our rotation.

It took me a while to get on the highlighting trend, but when I did, I think I went a little overboard. Currently, I don’t even know how many products I have that’s sole purpose is to make me glow, but let me share with you my favorites. MAC Cosmetics Strobe Cream would be one of the first things I used, so when they released more shades, I was over the moon. I now alternate between Redlite and Silverlite for that dewy finish.
For compacts, I have three go-tos. There’s Benefit’s Dandelion Twinkle for when I want a subtle glow (no blinding light here!). Next one would be my all-time fave (and apparently even Victoria!) which is Esteé Lauder’s Modern Mercury from the Victoria Beckham collaboration, plus points because it comes in a luxe packaging. Lastly, we have MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skinfinish (I used to own this in Beaming Blush until I passed it on to mom) in Show Gold, I love how it makes my skin look like it’s just wet in the best possible way!
Shop: Mac, Available at SM Aura Premier. Benefit, Available at Greenbelt 5. Victoria Beckham x Esteé Lauder, Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.

I believe that you can never have too much highlighter so I like to layer mine. I usually start with a liquid base, which is Mac’s strobe cream. I also wear this on its own on days when I don’t feel like putting on a powder highlighter.
For powder highlighters, I rotate between one from Too Faced and MAC. The compact from Too Faced comes with different shades but I use the one on the left since it works best with my skintone.
If you read our Preen Picks story on lipsticks, you’ll know that I love purple lipstick. So it comes as no surprise that I also like purple highlighter. MAC’s Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Soft Frost is my current favorite. Fun fact: I once applied this heavily on my face and collar bones that my boyfriend told me I was glowing. Mission accomplished.
Shop: Mac, Available at Glorietta 4. Too Faced, Available on Sephora PH.

Ever since I got my first highlighter, I understood why beauty vloggers were so obsessed with it. It just lifts your look up even when you’re just wearing minimal makeup.
My go-to highlighters range from how bright I want my cheekbones, sometimes nose bridge, to look on certain days. My everyday product is L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator. It has four shades for highlighting and bronzing, but what I do is swirl a dense brush in all of them. The result is a subtle shimmery gold highlight. Sometimes I even use it as a low-key blush.
For intense glow, I can’t go wrong with J.Cat’s You Glow Girl in Peach Goddess and NYX’s Strobe of Genius palette. The former is more glittery, but it doesn’t dust off easily throughout the day. While the latter will make your cheekbones look like liquid metal
